Summer School

Provide students an opportunity to practice foundational skills and concepts, recover missing credits, or take advanced courses – all at their own pace over the summer.

Summer School Benefits

Odysseyware® software is used by districts throughout the country to create personalized summer learning opportunities for their students, both onsite and virtually.

Credit Recovery

When Odysseyware curriculum is used in Credit Recovery (CRx) Mode, students are assigned a pre-test at the beginning of each unit to determine if they are already competent in concepts addressed in the unit. If they demonstrate competency, the learning activities can be skipped, enabling students to focus on only the concepts they have not yet mastered. With Flex CRx Mode, teachers can further personalize each student’s learning path.

Flex CRx Mode

Flex CRx Mode automatically creates a custom learning path that contains content the pre-test assessed as needing remediation

Remediation

Through SPARK, a rich set of assessment tools and instructional materials for K-8 math and English Language Arts, the Odysseyware software pinpoints skill deficiencies and maximizes student growth through personalized learning paths designed to target identified gaps in learning.

Scaffolded Instructional Supports

Students have a variety of embedded instructional supports at their fingertips in every lesson, including literacy, fluency, and audio scaffolds. They also receive immediate feedback throughout lessons and assessments to guide their learning.

Enrichment Opportunities

Students have access to over 300 courses, including AP® courses, a wide variety of electives, and over 80 CTE courses aligned to all 16 national career clusters, making summer an ideal time to take courses they are not otherwise able to during the school year. Students can also take advantage of summer to fulfill college requirements and get ahead.

Student Agency Over Pace & Place

Students complete their work at their own pace on virtually any device, anywhere they have access to the internet, giving them options of completing coursework that fits their schedule.

Virtual Partnership Program

Odysseyware Academic Services becomes an extension of the district team by providing support staff and certified teachers. Our teachers work virtually with district students over the summer, enabling educators to offer opportunities for their students to catch up, attain missing foundational skills, and get ahead–-without the challenges of running a full brick-and-mortar program. Certified teachers act as both a mentor and tutor for students, providing asynchronous and synchronous support as needed. Districts can deliver the program fully online or have students come to the school building periodically throughout the summer.
Virtual Partnership Program Step 1

Support staff enrolls students, monitors student progress over the summer, and communicates with designated school official.

Virtual Partnership Program Step 2

Certified teachers provide synchronous feedback to students, hold office hours for credit-bearing courses, and are available throughout the summer via our Academic Hotline.

Virtual Partnership Program Step 3

Educators are able to see communications between the student and the Odysseyware certified teacher in real-time, as well as student progress and attendance, through our SIS.

Virtual Partnership Program Step 4

Upon completion of the course, the school can award credits or request official transcripts.

What others are saying

Odysseyware has been an outstanding program for our students. The course work is engaging and students do well. Many of our students graduate because of this program. We have looked at other programs, but nothing has compared.
