Educator Impact Awards FAQ
Nominees can apply to be considered for up to three (3) categories. To be considered in more than one (1) category, you must check the appropriate category boxes on the nomination information page. Responses to each question in the questionnaire should be a minimum of 100 words and should not exceed 250 words.
If you are applying for more than one category,you may provide up to 250 per category. Under each question, please segment out each category section you are applying for, so your response matches that category.

Videos should be 3-5 minutes in length.
You can certainly post your video on your personal YouTube channel if you’d like; however, we still need the ‘raw’ footage submitted to us as one of the three requested submission items.
- Shortlisted nominees (finalists) will be notified no later than April 30, 2019.
- Winners will be notified on May 14, 2019 via email.
Winners will receive their prize stipend on May 24th, 2019.
- Chromebooks stay with the teacher, and is meant for personal use.
- Gifts of Appreciation stay with the teacher, and are meant for personal use.
- Mobile charging carts need to be delivered to, and stay with, the school the teacher was at during the time of the application/award.
- Site licenses and professional development need to stay with the school the teacher was at during the time of the application/award.
Chromebooks and Gifts of Appreciation will be mailed to the finalists and winners shortly after the conclusion of the reception. (In the finalist and winner email notifications, you will be asked what address you would like these shipped to. For these two prizes, personal home addresses will be accepted.)
The mobile charging cart will not be shipped out to the school until the beginning of school year, and will be sent by Spectrum Industries, Inc.. Winners will be asked to clear that someone is at the school building 'gate' to accept the cart.
The process of getting site licenses and professional development in place will begin shortly after winners are notified.
Stipends for winners are to be used for travel and ISTE conference attendance only. Once you have registered on the Eventbrite page and stated you plan on attending, the stipend will be sent to you in the form of a Visa gift card.
No. Even though Odysseyware is a partner of ISTE, the Educator Impact Awards is not associated with ISTE. Additionally, ISTE attendance is not required to receive an award or attend the reception.
No. ISTE attendance is not required to receive an award or attend the reception. However, to attend the reception dinner, you must register at our Eventbrite page. This is a free event open to all educators, and you do not need to be a nominee to attend.
