GSE American Government/Civics 45.05700 GA
The American Government/Civics course focuses on the foundation upon which this country was built, the United States Constitution. Various systems of government are compared to ours, and the branches of government are examined. Civil liberties, civil rights, and civil responsibilities are studied, and then the responsibilities and rights of local government is explored. Beginning in “Unit 1: Connecting Themes” and woven throughout this course are those connecting themes and enduring understandings found in social studies.
