According to a pilot study by the National Commission on Teaching and America’s Future, teacher attrition has grown by 50 percent over the last fifteen years to 16.8 percent. In urban schools, the number is higher. In fact, in some schools and districts, the teacher dropout rate exceeds the student dropout rate.

This statistic is pretty brutal and has long-term ramifications for students. To succeed, schools need well-trained teachers who are comfortable in the 21st century classroom. During these two-hour interactive webinars, teachers new to ODYSSEYWARE will take a guided tour of the learning management system and learn the basics of navigating the curriculum and how to use teaching tools. Topics* will include:

• Monitoring progress
• Grading and reporting
• Communication

Because the sessions are only two hours, no topic will be discussed in great detail, and there is little time for questions and answers that are school-specific.
